ELECTRIC VAPORIZERS VS. THE PORTABLE VAPORIZERS

Electric verses portable. It is a match-up that has strong supporters on both sides of the fence. While each has advantages and disadvantages, it is up to each vaper to decide which one fits their vaping needs the best. As far as our two cents are concerned? From our vantage point in the debate, we can say that electric vaporizers led the way in the past, but portable vaporizers are clearly leading the way into the future.

Electric Vaporizers

In the early days of vaping, vaporizers were clunky devices that sat on the counter and had to be hooked up to a power supply. This provided the steady flow of energy the device needed for operation. The strong, silent type, electric vaporizers could reach temperatures of up to 400 degrees. This extracted an impressive amount of THC from the bud, but the high temperature also left the devices a little too hot to handle. To make sure that you didn't ruin the vape, most electric vaporizers featured a digital display so that you knew exactly how hot the device was operating.

When it came to cost, a high-quality electric vape ran about $400, but you could find more affordable options for between $100 and $200. However, the quality of these cheaper devices wasn't very good, and many were prone to failures caused by design defects. Electric vaporizers were rather large. This made concealing them difficult and also made securing them a challenge. They also generated considerable odors which meant that everyone in the house knew exactly what you were up to.

Portable Vaporizers

Portable vaporizer pens came down out of the sky and offered a ray of hope for smokers everywhere. With their eyes set squarely on the future and the dream of portability, manufacturers created small and compact devices that could operate on a rechargeable battery. Portable vaporizers are light and small enough to put in a jacket pocket or purse for discrete transport throughout the day. Most are about the size of a pack of cigarettes and weigh just a few ounces which means that you don't have to head to the gym before you can start carrying it around.

They are also easy to use and heat up within a minute. Once heated, the charge can last for one or two days depending on the vaporizer. All you have to do is find the time and the ideal place to pull out the vaporizer and take a breather from the day.

They are also a little quieter, and a little less odorous than electric vaporizers which means that they do a better job of concealing your vaping break. The biggest drawback to portable vaporizers is that you need to make sure that you don't run out of charge on your vape.

A good quality portable vaporizer will run anywhere from $100 to $300. There are also an increasing number of vape pen accessories you can couple with your portable vaporizer. Cleaning tools, grinders, bud chambers, etc. come in a vast variety of sizes, colors, and styles which means that you can create a fully immersive vaping experience based on your own individual preferences and desires. And, you can keep everything together with well-designed products such as the Typhon cases for Pax 2 and 3.
